“Autumn Leaves”
This is an exciting process in which
students will copy nature by using real Japanese
Elm leaves, overlap the leaves around the bowl
then burn through the actual leaves. No two
bowls will be exactly alike, as in nature, no
two leaves are identical. You will stain the
leaves and the bowl base, seal it and then cut
out the openings where the leaves have created
closed spaces. The last step will be to cut
around the leave shape around the rim creating a
truly wonderful bowl. A real work of art.
